A game that emulates a medieval trebuchet by using an elevated see-saw with a cannonball placed on its end. The user fires the trebuchet by swiping a finger across the screen subsequently hitting the elevated end of the see-saw. The faster the user swipes, the greater the force applied to the end of the see-saw, and the faster the cannonball flies off the beam. There are 80 targets of smiling bugs displayed for the user to hit with the cannonball. The objective of the game is to hit all 80 targets in the shortest amount of time using the minimum number of shots possible.
Features:
Allows user to position the cannonball anywhere on the see-saw
User can raise the see-saw by touching its pivot point and dragging upward
User can lower the see-saw by touching its pivot point and dragging downward
Statistics are maintained for all games played
Translational and Rotational forces accurately modeled using Physics
Cannonball trajectory also accurately modeled using Physics
Positioning the cannonball closer to the see-saws pivot point results in less force applied to the ball and a shorter trajectory. This strategy can be useful when hitting closer targets.
Raising the see-saw results in more vertical trajectories for the cannonball. This strategy can be useful when hitting targets near the top of the screen.
Lowering the see-saw results in more horizontal trajectories for the cannonball. This strategy can be useful when hitting targets near the bottom of the screen.
Notes:
Game only runs in landscape orientation in order to allow the cannonballs trajectory to cover the longest path possible.
